Jillian Santella, founder of One In A Million Media, is thrilled to have joined the team of Beyond Rock (formerly known as Bach to Rock).

More than a music school, more than a summer camp, Beyond Rock is a life changing experience. Unlike most music programs, we strive to go beyond the rock to help our students grow - not just as musicians - but as people.

Jillian will be bringing her unique voice to existing programs as well as coming up with new workshops for students of all ages. Specializing in songwriting, rock band coaching, and stage presence, Jillian joins a staff eagerly looking forward to enriching the lives and careers of current and future musicians.

All friends of One In A Million Media are invited to check out the Beyond Rock Free Open House on 5/25. RSVP online at http://beyondrock0525.eventbrite.com to be entered in a drawing to win a half priced admission to the Beyond Rock summer session of your choice (for kids ages 7 - 17).

Mixtape: Boston’s Year in Rock Series proudly presents
1997!

Saturday 6/4, 9 PM

The Rosebud (381 Summer St., (Davis Square) Somerville, MA)

From the rooftops, shout it out: Mixtape is ready to go. To 1997!We lost Princess Di, Mother Teresa, and Biggie, but we got Sporty Spice, Dolly the sheep, and another Dolly the sheep. Clinton started his second term, the New York Times went color, and Hale-Bopp paid us a visit. Leo proclaimed himself king of the world and Will Hunting went to see about a girl. And through it all, we were smelling Sex and Candy.…After the massive successes of last year’s tributes to 1993, 1967, and 1984, (and a spring breather), Nate Rogers and Boston Band Crush are back to celebrate our one year anniversary at the Rosebud! And since the 90s are so trendy right now, we’re double dipping back into that strange recent decade for another go-round. Think the music of 1997 was of dubious quality? Come be proved wrong! Or right! Pissing the night away!Featuring the music of Radiohead, Blur, Prodigy, The Cardigans, Republica, Spice Girls, Hanson, Foo Fighters, Dandy Warhols, Harvey Danger, Savage Garden, Green Day, Jamiroquai, Pavement, Luscious Jackson, yada yada yadaas performed by local rockers:• The Royalty / Yankee Power• I Know What You Did Last Somerville (feat. Rodrigo and Jason of BrownBoot, Nate of The Future Everybody, Ashley of Boston Band Crush, Aaron of This Blue Heaven, and special guests!)• Davina Yannetty (our last minute addition and savior!)• Jillian Santella (returning from New York, feat. Bryn of Bang Camaro)It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. You’re gonna have the time of your life.

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. You’re gonna have the time of your life.

Not the best quality, but here’s a video of me performing with Bryce Larsen at the Crazy Donkey, 4/25/11.
